Photography by Tom Gold at Preston Court
Without a doubt, Preston Court has to be one of the best wedding venues in the UK. It’s little wonder that Brides Magazine have included them in it’s top 100 wedding venues of 2018. Located in a beautiful part of Kent and still within easy travelling distance from London, the venue offers everything you could need for the perfect wedding, plus a lot more…!
Preston Court has no less than three amazing locations to tie the knot. Firstly, there’s the 17th century Kent barn, which houses two beautiful Dutch dance hall organs, providing a unique and interesting backdrop for a civil ceremony and reception.
The second option is to cross the bridge and say your vows on Juliana’s Island, which is perfectly situated in the middle of the lake, surrounded by lush gardens and ancient trees.
Thirdly, you have the option of a church wedding. The idyllic St Mildred’s Church directly adjoins the garden’s and is within 100 yards walking distance of The Kent Barn.
Having worked many times at Preston Court, I’ve photographed ceremonies in all three locations. With each being so full of unique character, it’s impossible to choose a favourite, in fact in terms of photography, I can’t think of a venue that offers more.
The reception offerings are also visually rich and diverse. With a courtyard, lawns, gardens, lakes and trees, serving as a backdrop to the victorian carousel and steam engines there are no end of photo opportunities. The running theme that comes across in any shoot at Preston Court is fun! There are numerous details abound, including fairground games, neon signage, as well as peacocks roaming free and much more…
